Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage was the president’s home and continues to be his final resting place. Needless to say, perhaps, this gorgeous Greek-rival style mansion has a spooky past—the mansion, grounds, and (of course) the cemetery are all rumored to be haunted.
Visit after dark and get a history lesson with a twist. The aptly-named Ghost Tours organization invites you to explore by lantern light. Try not to get distracted by ghostly sounds as you listen to tales of the President’s life and achievements.
Tours run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and places are limited so make sure you get your tickets in advance!
