NOW OPEN: BLACK FOX LOUNGE IN DC’s DUPONT CIRCLE
BLACK FOX LOUNGE | Nixonologists may remember the murals salvaged from the old Circle Bar at the Watergate Hotel at the elegant new Dupont Circle digs of Black Fox Lounge. In fact the space is something like a greatest hits of old-school DC bars, with classic banquettes and cocktail tables rescued from The Jefferson as well. Gentlemanly drinks are the order of the day here; the name and coat-of-arms logo are a nod to the sporting life in jolly old England. While there are small dishes to sample as well, the staff specializes in securing reservations at the area’s best restaurants to make sure you don’t go hungry later, and in the downstairs gallery adorned with modern art there’s often live music to be found.
