Ralph Lauren’s cars take Paris: go, man, go!
Jay Leno, he is not. With inexhaustible supplies of both money and good taste, iconic designer Ralph Lauren has assembled the most attractive collection of classic sports and luxury cars in the world. They inspire everything from designs for bags to chairs, and often have cameos in his ad campaigns. He doesn’t treat them as museum pieces – each one, no matter how precious, is kept in perfect working order so he can take them for a spin at any time – but that’s what many of the exotic beauties are, in fact. It’s fitting that Paris’ famed Musée des Arts Décoratifs is putting seventeen of them on display from April 28th through August 28th. Like one of Ralph’s mansion boutiques, the experience will be akin to sensory overload; rarely if ever is so much speed, style, and beauty concentrated in one place. Pictured here is a 1958 Ferrari Testa Rossa, just one of the gems in the offing.
