On the 14th floor of Thompson Hotel’s Six Columbus–the insider’s place to stay among the coterie of hotel laurel-resters is the newly opened A6 (or Above Six) terrace lounge. The exclusive but casual lounge and bar also has a major lead on all those other rooftop digs: Blue Ribbon Sushi & Grill snacks are a short elevator ride away in the lobby of the hotel. Featured drinks include The Hummingbird (Avinyo Cava, St. Germain, club soda, and Yama Momo), reinventions of old standards such as Siberian Sunrise (Zyr Vodka, fresh grapefruit juice, and fresh lime juice), and a carefully curated selection of sakes, wines, and spirits to compliment the breezy Summer evenings. Six Columbus is open daily from 5pm-2am Tuesday-Saturday and is located at 6 Columbus Circle, near Eighth Avenue.
