The kooky but genius fashion designer has said she hates America…but Hollywood’s okay…
Melrose Avenue, land of bad bars, slutty wear and tacky sneaker shops is what-what, getting more and more gentrified. Last year saw the Ralph Lauren RRL store open in an old garage right next to Fred Segal. And recently this year, Vivienne Westwood signed on a building on Melrose Avenue too. Both are hopping. And now good ole Woman Next Door Sandra Bullock is even wearing the queen of punk’s crazy stuff (as well as Christina Hendricks, pictured with Westwood, of that “Mad Men” show, in the new shop). This is a trifle, but for Angelenos? A start.
