From accessories to sportswear, some subtly chic means of proclaiming
your citizenship without a street map and a dumb hat.
As Memorial Day and the Fourth encroach upon us, some designers are coming up with
both nifty and sexy wares that don’t announce where you’re coming from, or going to,
let’s say, all that overtly.
We love the photo-montage wallets of roadside Americana attractions, as well as the
Old Glory shifts, T-shirts and peace sign swimwear, from DSquare2 and Tommy Hilfiger (who yearly rolls out at least one retro-print, red-white-and-blue little bikini number.)
It’s not blatantly patriotic, just rebell-y iconic. Nothing wrong with that!
