On Sunday, May 6th, 2012, residents can come to the Miami Rowing Center, 3601 Rickenbacker Causeway from 12pm – 3pm and grab a paddle or a fishing rod and make their own adventure.

Adventure Day is hosted by the City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department as an opportunity to showcase available water sport activities available at the Miami  Rowing Center. All activities are free of charge on Adventure Day. Parents and children alike can come out to kayak, sail, fish, jump off a floating trampoline, swim in the pool, play soccer or take a slide down the inflatable water slide.

Picnic tables, food vendors and a water view make for an enjoyable setting for friends and family to come out and do something fun that takes advantage of the South Florida weather and amenities. While attending Adventure Day parents who like the activities, and have a child between the age of 5 and 17, can find out about the Adventure Biscayne Camp which offers many of the same outdoor water sports for summer campers. Additionally, information on learn-to-swim classes and kayak rentals will be available.

For more information on the event residents can call 305-361-1505.
