Although neo-classicist architect Sir John Soane is best remembered through the museum in his former residence on Lincoln’s Inn Fields, he also built a country retreat in Ealing. This house, Pitzhanger Manor, is now PM Gallery and the host of this exhibition dedicated to pieces by contemporary artists inspired by Soane’s work. The three exhibitors – Catrin Huber, Anne Desmet and Emily Allchurch – use painting, photography and collage to tackle the creative legacy of the man responsible for the elegant facades of the Bank of England.
