Last night at Hotel Victor, soon to be Thompson Ocean Drive we threw a launch party to celebrate Ruvan Wijesooriya’s latest book titled LCD. The book of photography, created by Ruvan Wijesooriya, will be released on December 11th, 2012. LCD chronicles the existence of LCD Soundsystem in 216 pages of pure glory and honesty. James Murphy, the bands’ lead singer, says in the intro of the book: “Ruven has been getting in my face for years. He has taken several thousand pictures of LCD over the last few years, and he whittled them down to literally hundreds for this book. We were a band, and these pictures make it clear we were a band.” LCD is an honest lens that is beyond just another book of photos, showcasing interviews with members of the band and various exclusive album art.
