What winter storm?
Winter Storm Nemo was outshined Saturday night at Thompson LES’ Above Allen by an “Impromptu Opera/Performance/Party” which only could be dreamed up by Imitation of Christ designer Tara Subkoff. Draped in elaborate one-of-a-kind IOC designs, professional opera singers dazzled the likes of Chloe Sevigny, Kim Gordon, Natasha Lyon, and Lissy Trullie in an installation unlike anything Fashion Week has seen before. Above Allen’s breathtaking view was the perfect backdrop for the night while attendees enjoyed cocktails by Svedka and the sounds of DJ Ben Grubin. Celebrating SaveLoveGive, an organization helping women achieve financial empowerment through phone bill saving awareness, the spontaneous operatic performances made it a night not soon to be forgotten.
