One Thousand Pieces, Hubbard Street Dance

A series of globe-spanning collaborators came together to create One Thousand Pieces, and the world created on stage is certainly greater than the sum of its parts. Inspired by the blue glow of Marc Chagall’s America Windows, the stage is bathed in the same tones, the dancers dressed by German designer Thomas Mika, moving feverishly to a score by Philip Glass. It’s a triumph as Hubbard Streets first original full-length piece, on it’s second run on the stage.

One Thousand Pieces is showing at  Hubbard Street Dance Center December 12-15.
